Job Summary The Brain Care Labs (affiliated with the Global Brain Care Coalition, Center for Genomic Medicine and Neurology at Mass General Brigham) seeks a motivated candidate to join a multidisciplinary environment of clinicians, computational biologists, statisticians and geneticists at MGH, BWH, the Broad Institute, Harvard, MIT and international consortia.
Under the Clinical Research Project Manager, the Clinical Research Coordinator will independently manage ongoing research studies, including: project management of lab projects; collaboration within and outside the lab; receipt and processing of DNA samples; collection of phenotypic data; patient recruitment; biospecimen collection; follow‑up visits; data entry and QA/QC; maintenance of lab databases and stocks; participation in lab meetings and presentations. Fluency in Spanish for patient consent and study visits is preferred.
Essential Functions
Assist with determining suitability of study subjects and support patients and families.
Contribute input to recruitment strategies and protocol recommendations.
Administer study questionnaires and evaluate scores.
Maintain research data, patient files, regulatory binders and study databases.
Perform data analysis, QA/QC checks, and organize data.
Assist with preparation for annual review, study reports and presentations.
May help train and orient new staff members.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Science required. Experience may substitute for a degree.
Experience
Post‑bachelor’s research experience of 1–2 years required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Work independently and as part of a team.
Computer literacy and analytical skills; ability to resolve technical problems.
Interpret data results.
Knowledge of data management programs.
