Instructional Designer II
Location:

Summary We’re seeking a creative and detail‑oriented Instructional Designer II to design and build engaging learning experiences that inspire employees to foster a more inclusive and collaborative workplace. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience developing learning experiences and content (not just traditional instructional design) using tools such as Saba, Articulate Rise, and Storyline. This role blends learning strategy, design thinking, and multimedia development to create modern, accessible learning experiences that drive behaviour change and engagement.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deliver innovative learning experiences focused on inclusion, belonging, and people skills.
Create a variety of learning materials including interactive eLearning modules, digital guides, and web‑based resources.
Apply adult learning theory and instructional design best practices to create content that is engaging, user‑friendly, and accessible.
Collaborate closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to transform complex topics into simple, meaningful learning experiences.
Script, storyboard, and visualize learning journeys using modern design software and authoring tools.
Incorporate stakeholder and learner feedback to continually improve learning content and ensure it meets brand standards.
Maintain and update existing learning resources to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience creating learning content).
Proven experience in designing learning experiences for adult audiences (beyond standard instructional design).
Hands‑on expertise with Saba, Articulate Rise, and Articulate Storyline (must be listed under work experience).
Demonstrated ability to translate complex, human‑centered topics into engaging and actionable content.
Knowledge of inclusion, diversity, and belonging concepts preferred.
Strong understanding of adult learning theory, visual design, and learning accessibility principles.
Excellent attention to detail, writing clarity, and quality standards.
Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate cross‑functionally.
