Store Manager – Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics North America
Company Overview Lush North America has been creating fresh and handmade cosmetics for the past 20 years, keeping our customers’ bathtubs and showers a little more magical through our retail shops across Canada and the US. Responsibilities As a Store Manager, you lead the store team, embody core values, and drive business results.
Recruit, hire, and train the store team and management staff.
Develop staff on brand, product, and service standards.
Drive sales by setting and exceeding daily sales goals and ensuring a welcoming customer experience.
Educate customers and staff on brand values and ethical commitments (animal testing, vegetarian, handmade, etc.).
Maintain store visual standards and merchandising plans.
Oversee inventory, ordering, and waste management within budget.
Manage scheduling, time, attendance, and payroll accuracy while meeting labor budget.
Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, anti‑harassment and anti‑discrimination guidelines.
Coach leadership practices, provide constructive feedback and promote staff development.
Support diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives.
Make data‑driven decisions using metrics, reports, and business plans aligned with Lush’s strategy.
Qualifications
Required:
3‑5 years managing in a retail environment.
Strong HR skills: hiring, scheduling, training, conflict resolution and performance management.
Excellent listening and communication skills.
Excellent analytical, critical‑thinking and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent organization and time‑management skills.
Strong customer service, supervisory and sales skills.
Knowledge and interest in skincare, natural beauty and ethical business.
Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays, evenings and weekends.
Preferred:
Experience with consultation‑based customer service models.
Ability to develop and train staff through positive coaching and feedback.
Strong record of developing retail staff careers.
Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Suite, and adaptable to other systems.
Experience in cross‑cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training.
Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages.
