Senior Family Law Paralegal (FULLY REMOTE)
Senior Family Law Paralegal — Fully Remote (Bay Area Experience Required)
Fenchel Family Law PC | Modern. High-Performing. Fully Remote.
Tired of commuting to an office that still runs on paper, panic, or personalities?
Tired of supporting attorneys who don’t value precision or expect you to fix what they should have handled?
We built the opposite.
Fenchel Family Law PC is a fully remote, high-growth Bay Area boutique firm representing high-net-worth clients in complex divorces, custody disputes, and post-judgment matters. We combine airtight systems, white-glove service, and a culture where excellence and respect go hand in hand.
We’re hiring a
Senior Family Law Paralegal
to support our
Managing Attorney, Laura Chickering , and her pod. You’ll work with attorneys who do their jobs — they don’t rely on you to log their time or finalize their work product. They lead with professionalism, precision, and appreciation for detail. You’ll finally have the space to do your best work in a firm built for high performers who take pride in doing it right the first time.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
Fully remote.
No commute. No chaos. No paper piles.
Attorneys who lead.
You’ll never be expected to log their time, “clean up” their work, or finalize drafts without attorney review.
A team that actually gets along.
Supportive, communicative, and genuinely kind people who value each other.
Systems, not stress.
Clio Manage, Clio Drafts, Box, Slack, and Acuity — digital, organized, and efficient.
Real connection.
We meet a few times a year for team retreats and our
annual marketing shoot
(complete with professional hair, makeup, photos, and video). We make our team — not just the attorneys — feel like the rockstars they are.
Work-to-live culture.
We do it right the first time so we can all enjoy life outside of work.
Professional growth built in.
We don’t take your decision to join us for granted. You’ll have a personalized plan to meet your
personal, professional, and financial goals.
We invest in you.
Our Core Values
White-Glove Service:
Calm, clarity, and excellence in every client interaction.
Ownership:
When something’s off, we fix it and learn from it.
Craftsmanship:
Pride in every pleading, disclosure, and communication.
Collaboration:
No egos, no silos — everyone rows in the same direction.
Purpose:
We help good people through tough times — and we do it exceptionally well.
What You’ll Do
Manage
legal and internal calendaring
across San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Marin counties.
Prepare, organize, and finalize
financial disclosures
(Schedules of Assets and Debts, Income & Expense Declarations, and supporting documentation).
Handle
discovery
from start to finish — drafting, tracking, and managing responses and service.
Draft and proof
declarations, discovery responses, correspondence, and Judicial Council forms
with precision and consistency.
Maintain and update the
Case Status Sheet
and
Master Pleadings Spreadsheet , ensuring every pleading is logged and indexed in Box.
Communicate directly with clients and experts — clear, proactive, and empathetic communication is your standard.
Log all work in
Clio Manage , collaborate through
Slack , and uphold the firm’s
Protocol for Documents.
Note: We use a professional binder service — no at-home trial prep required.
Who You Are
Minimum
5 years of Bay Area family law paralegal experience
(required).
Tech-fluent:
You live in Clio Manage, Clio Drafts, Box, and Outlook; you’re confident with e-filing (GreenFiling, File & ServeXpress, OneLegal).
Remote-ready:
Organized, communicative, and dependable — you thrive working autonomously.
Detail-obsessed:
You triple-check every deadline, number, and document name because excellence is your default.
Client-focused:
You bring empathy and clarity to every interaction.
Cultural fit:
You’re humble, collaborative, and growth-oriented — you want to develop into the rockstar you’re meant to become.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary:

Billable hour requirement:
115 hours per month.
Monthly bonus
for exceeding billable-hour goals.
Health, dental, and vision insurance.
401(k) with employer match.
