We are seeking a dynamic Maintenance Manager for a gas-fired combined cycle power plant supplying electricity to New Jersey and New York City. The station requires a leader to oversee all plant maintenance activities under the direction of the Plant Manager.
Reports To: Plant Manager
Responsibilities
Champion a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols, providing necessary tools and protective equipment, and conducting root cause analyses for incidents.
Lead, develop, and evaluate a team of 12 maintenance technicians, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
Develop and execute long- and short-term maintenance plans, including plant outages, workflow charts, and material requisitions, to maximize availability and cost efficiency.
Maintain and manage annual maintenance budgets, track expenditures, approve invoices, and ensure compliance.
Resolve human resource issues, enforce company policies, and maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and environmental standards.
Oversee warehouse inventory processes and optimize the CMMS to issue preventative, predictive, and corrective work orders.
Ensure accurate plant maintenance records, compliance reporting, and adherence to labor and environmental regulations.
Formulate and deliver projects assigned by the Plant Manager, ensuring timely and effective completion.
Provide 24-hour on-call support for non-routine maintenance situations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and community stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (eligible to substitute with relevant experience).
8–10 years in power plant maintenance, preferably combined cycle, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
Strong leadership, critical thinking, and organizational skills; excellent verbal and written communication.
Proficiency with CMMS (Hexagon EAM preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, MS Project).
Deep knowledge of power generation technology, including combustion and steam turbines, and auxiliary equipment.
Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, climb, lift up to 50 pounds, and work around rotating equipment, hazardous materials, and chemicals while using PPE (respirators, safety glasses, hard hat, etc.).

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; occasional travel required.
