Position Overview: The Department of Human Development and Community Health seeks course instructors in Community Health, Family & Consumer Sciences, Human Development and Family Science, Early Childhood Education (Preschool – Age 3), and variable content courses.

Classification: Instructor / Non‑Tenure Track Faculty (Pooled). Appointment type is Non‑Tenure Track, with full‑time or part‑time status depending on course load. Salary commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications. Union affiliation may apply; AFMSU membership is optional for positions .5 FTE or greater.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Teach on‑campus or online courses.

Advising, evaluating, and assisting students.

Curriculum and/or course development.

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills:

Master’s degree or terminal degree in an appropriate field.

Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills:

Academic or professional experience.

Demonstrated experience teaching interdisciplinary courses.

Demonstrated knowledge of college student development.

Demonstrated commitment to student, faculty, and staff diversity.

Position Special Requirements / Additional Information:

Union affiliation determined by job duties and collective bargaining unit.

Positions .5 FTE or more are represented by AFMSU; members may elect to pay dues.
