Basic Job Functions
Location administrator for EAP, HRIS, time‑keeping, and leave administration systems.
Responsible for the full recruitment process lifecycle (job postings, phone screening/interview set‑up, sending offer letters, etc.) for all open roles, including conducting the New Hire Orientation.
Set up, maintain, and administer job‑testing processes, including entry‑level testing.
Have a strong understanding and working knowledge of Nucor personnel policies, sick leave, disability, FMLA, military, and other programs while administering them within federal/state laws. Leave administration includes workers’ compensation.
Facilitate all teammate training needs, especially Nucor Culture and Leadership training. Responsible for all HR reporting requirements, such as EEO‑1, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
Participate in the rollout of annual HR projects, such as the annual merit review process and benefits open enrollment.
Manage the full separation process lifecycle (participating in the final disciplinary steps, handling termination meetings if needed, completing exit interviews for voluntary departures, final benefit and COBRA administration, etc.).
Administer personnel, medical, I‑9 and EEO files. Perform other duties, special projects, and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience working with core HR information in a generalist capacity OR an Associate’s degree with 4 years of experience working with core HR information in a generalist capacity, is required.
Strong PC computer skills with everyday experience working with Microsoft products, especially Outlook and Excel. Knowledge of HRIS programs is necessary.

Preferences
An HR certification is strongly desired.
Knowledge in SAP/SuccessFactors is preferred.
Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation and must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
