A well-established construction company in Santee, CA is seeking an experienced and versatile HR Director to lead all aspects of human resources. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering a competitive salary and the chance to make a significant impact on a growing organization.

The HR Director will manage a full spectrum of HR responsibilities, including onboarding, recruiting, compliance, workers' compensation, leaves, and employment law adherence. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day HR operations in a fast-paced construction environment.
Role Details:
- Location: Onsite in Santee, CA
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Compensation: $70,000-$80,000/year, based on experience
- Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
- Oversee all HR functions, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Manage onboarding and orientation for new hires
- Lead recruiting efforts for various roles within the organization
- Administer workers' compensation claims and safety compliance
- Handle employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary actions
- Manage leave programs (FMLA, PTO, etc.) and maintain accurate records
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures
- Collaborate with leadership on workforce planning and organizational development
- Utilize QuickBooks for payroll and HR-related financial tasks
- 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in the construction or related industry
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance, and HR best practices
- Experience with onboarding, recruiting, workers' comp, and leave management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; QuickBooks experience preferred
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
