LHH is seeking a detail‑oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our client’s accounting team. This temp‑to‑hire position will involve managing day‑to‑day accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, supporting the month‑end close process, and providing critical support across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices for accuracy.
  • Maintain vendor records and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with weekly check runs and ACH payments.
  • Generate and send customer invoices.
  • Monitor incoming payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Apply payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of receivables and aging reports.
  • Assist in preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and schedules.
  • Help ensure all transactions are recorded in the correct period.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to meet reporting deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred but not required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in AP/AR or general accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
