Arcadis is looking for a Principal Process Mechanical / Wastewater Engineer with 10 years of experience to join our Resilience Water Team in Tampa, Florida. Role Accountabilities
Lead and manage project delivery within the municipal Water/Wastewater market of the region.
Provide leadership, technical knowledge and experience to further develop our design team capabilities.
Act as design manager and lead project tasks in collaboration with project managers and clients in the planning, design, permitting and construction of wastewater and/or reclaimed water facilities, including treatment facilities, conveyance systems and rehabilitation work.
Prepare detailed engineering calculations and analysis, utilizing design software as needed to solve complex issues.
Manage and lead condition‑assessment evaluations for wastewater system assets such as treatment facilities, pipelines and pump/lift stations.
Develop and meet scope, delivery schedules and project budgets for each assignment.
Work directly with project managers and area managers to determine needs, provide solutions and participate in proposal preparation and presentations.
Strengthen client relationships through professionalism and technical expertise in all client meetings.
Supervise and support the work of others and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality and safety standards.
Travel up to 20% for project meetings, site visits, client meetings and construction oversight.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
At least 10 years of experience in wastewater treatment and design, including leading design projects and managing multi‑disciplinary design teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) License in Florida.
Preferred Qualifications
Over 15 years of experience in engineering and consulting, with a primary focus on the wastewater municipal market.
Design, permitting and construction experience with water and wastewater treatment systems, distribution, conveyance, pumping and storage facilities in Florida.
Master’s degree in Mechanical, Environmental or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Active participation in regional or national professional associations.
