Looking for A Fellowship Trained Glaucoma and Cataract Surgeon
American Academy of Ophthalmology, Bethesda, Maryland, us, 20811
Overview
Anterior Segment/Glaucoma specialist in the Washington, DC area . Capital Eye Care is based in Bethesda, Maryland and we are looking for an Ophthalmologist to join our team. We are a quickly growing practice of eleven doctors, with multiple divisions and locations in the DMV. You'd be a part of the Champlain anterior segment division of three doctors, and we expect would primarily be based in Northern Virginia and Silver Spring.
There is a significant shortage of glaucoma care in the DC area and you will be busy from the first day.
The doctor who started six months ago already has a full schedule of cataract and glaucoma surgery! We have a superior capture rate on femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery and premium IOLs (95%). Our blend of associates and partners is wonderfully collegial and highly ethical, we have superb referral network, and the reputation of our practice is sterling. We are entirely physician owned, having resisted private equity acquisition, leaving us ideally positioned both with improved reimbursement contracts and for our newer associates to have the opportunity for a true equity buy-in. Be a part of our thriving, integrated practice. Website: https://www.capitaleyecare.net Our skilled doctors and friendly staff are dedicated to providing the highest quality care using the most sophisticated technology available and are dedicated to helping every patient enjoy the best possible vision. Capital Eye Care is an eleven physician integrated anterior segment/retinal practice with optical dispensary and close affiliation with several Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs). We were early adopters of MDI/Nextech EMR and have integrated Zeiss Forum and our advanced imaging technologies throughout the office into a seamless clinical experience. Join us. Responsibilities
(Note: The original description emphasizes the practice setting, volume potential, and integration. Explicit daily duties are not enumerated in the source; please align expectations with departmental policies and standard ophthalmology practice.) Qualifications
(Note: The original description does not list formal requirements. Typical qualifications would include board certification/eligibility in ophthalmology, medical licensure in the applicable state, and ability to perform anterior segment/GL care tasks. Please refer to official posting for specifics.) Compensation and Benefits
Superb income opportunity with established referral patterns. Full-time employed position. Very competitive base plus production incentives. The listed range would be far exceeded with partnership. Full benefits to include 401K, CME, and time off. Ownership/equity opportunities. Superb environment for both professional and financial growth. Strong tech support including a skilled optometrist and multiple foreign trained ophthalmologists and physicians as assistants.
