Tax - Business Tax Services - Corporate Tax Senior
Join EY as a Corporate Tax Senior within our Business Tax Services practice. You will support managers through partnership in providing tax services, balancing compliance and planning across private and public clients.
Location Anywhere in Country.
Overview EY Private Tax is a growing practice focused on serving privately held companies. Clients range from family‑owned businesses to private equity‑owned entities, many of which have high growth and a desire to remain private. The role offers exposure to complex tax planning and compliance for high‑growth private companies.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for U.S. corporations and partnerships, including foreign reporting requirements for cross‑border compliance.
Provide tax research, draft memoranda, and perform quantitative modeling for private client tax advisory services.
Identify and communicate significant tax matters to managers, senior managers, MDs, and partners.
Liaise with other service lines and subject‑matter professionals to deliver integrated solutions.
Build long‑term client relationships and understand their unique needs to tailor services.
Communicate complex tax issues to non‑tax professionals and clients.
Continuously update technical knowledge and share best practices to maintain a strong professional reputation.
Identify and react to risks and opportunities to improve services and processes.
Skills and Attributes for Success
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, supported by tax, business, or financial planning experience.
Eligibility for CPA certification or membership in a bar association.
Prior experience with ASC 740 tax provisions.
Excellent collaboration, negotiation, and communication skills; confidence to challenge stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
Minimum of 3 years of professional services or tax organization experience.
A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA, or Lexis‑Nexis.
Willingness to travel as needed and ability to work in a hybrid environment.
