Job Description and Duties Under the general supervision of an Accounting Administrator II, the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor) is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating complex fiscal, accounting, and budgetary management activities for various departmental funds. The Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor) supervises professional staff responsible for budgetary control and financial accounting for departmental funds and Budget Act appropriations.
Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor) exam. For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions. Special Requirements
Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle.
You are required to complete employment history on the application form (STD 678). Resumes will not take the place of employment history.

Statement of qualifications (SOQ) required.
Desirable Qualifications
The ability to take initiative and work creatively with people to resolve work issues to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledgeable with automated accounting systems and reporting tools.
Ability to maintain a positive outlook towards work challenges while working in a fast‑paced team environment.
Excellent research and analytical skills.
