Job Description
We Are Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Artificial Intelligence! This exciting position is with the Aeronautics Artificial Intelligence Team located in Fort Worth, Texas. This position is for an experienced Artificial Intelligence Engineer to use and apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques in the Artificial Intelligence and software field to develop solutions to complex problems within Aeronautics.
What You Will Be Doing: You will focus on the of products that implement to provide discriminating Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies/capability to our customers. This will require engagement in every phase of the system lifecycle including requirements generation, system and design, implementation, integration, and flight test. Activities will range from proof of concepts, of prototypes, building demonstrators, and transition to production. The candidate will help to shape R&D opportunities (CRAD, CRADA, internal/external collaborations) with a focus on customer science and technology organizations, such as DARPA, AFRL or ONR.
Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team including program management, advanced concepts, advanced systems, special projects, and external customers. Drive the design and development of key technologies within the scope and realm of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Apply new and existing technologies in a dynamic fast paced environment. Up to 10% travel, primarily domestic may be required. Must exhibit self-motivation, a strong work ethic, time management and interpersonal skills.
Desired skills
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or Engineering with a focus / dissertation in AI/ML Extensive professional experience developing models using supervised, unsupervised, or reinforcement learning techniques Experience with probability and statistics Experience with integration of software (or models) onto embedded single board computers Familiarity with any of these; Computer Vision, Path planning and obstacle avoidance, Anomaly detection, RF signal processing and Specialty sensing and communications hardware Familiarity with large scale software and system architecture and design Experience with DevOps tools: Docker, Git [GitLab, GitHub], BitBucket, Continuous Integration [CI], Continuous Deployment [CD] Experience developing applications on Linux Experience developing on cloud architectures (i.e. AWS) Knowledge of Agile Principles and Frameworks Active TS/SCI
