FWI (FedWriters, Inc.)
Overview
FWI is building a team to support the Puerto Rico Department of Housing (PRDOH) Communication Services program for the Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and Community Development Block Grant for Mitigation (CDBG-MIT). The Account Director will serve as the lead point of contact for all client matters, managing relationships at a senior level and overseeing the overall management of communication services across traditional media, digital media, and public relations platforms.
Work Schedule and Location Hybrid:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Some onsite work in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Responsibilities
Act as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to the account or client.
Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting relationships to provide the utmost level of client service; liaise with clients at a senior level on a day‑to‑day basis.
Oversee and assist the Senior Account Executive with overall account management, channel prioritization, and workflow between team members.
Ensure operational performance of the team, meeting or exceeding all accounts objectives, schedules, budgets, and special projects assigned by the client.
Coordinate resources needed to service projects, delivering creative and strategic plans within agreed timeframes and budgets.
Manage marketing and presentation ideas for client projects, ensuring compliance with timeline and budget constraints.
Oversee the work of team members and perform required administrative functions.
Assist with clients' portfolios and monitor ongoing activities.
Track progress and deliver client projects, conducting frequent meetings and providing status updates.
Conduct a final review of any client request to ensure it is error‑free and meets client needs before delivery to the client point of contact.
Coordinate resources to accommodate client time‑sensitive requests.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Advertising, Business Management or Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in a related field.
Strong industry network and contacts with senior journalists and members of the press.
Knowledge of market research techniques, budgeting and reporting.
Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, leadership, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written skills in both Spanish and English.
