Special Procedures RN (MNA) – Adult Urgent Care – Kenmore (Full Time 40 Hrs)
Create high‑impact, patient‑centered care as a Registered Nurse in our adult urgent care unit, performing complex procedures and dedicated ambulatory support at Atrius Health. Summary
Under the direction of the department chief or nurse leader, you will provide practice‑management support and directly assist in patient care. Responsibilities include: Pre‑ and post‑procedure assessment and monitoring Administration of IV medications, moderate sedation, chemotherapy, and intra‑procedural care (e.g., GYN Surgery, OMFS, Oncology, GI) Telephone triage and clinical advice Follow‑up coordination and patient education Practice‑management support including specimen collection and charting Education / Licenses / Certifications
• Graduate of a state‑approved nursing school (BSN preferred).
Required Licensure:
Professional Nursing license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) – required. • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – may be required based on specialty. • Must attend an IV Moderate Sedation (IVMS) seminar every two years. Experience
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in medical/surgical or ambulatory nursing (exceptions may be considered with VP of Nursing). • Experience with an electronic medical records system, preference for EPIC. Skills
• Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, interpersonal and patient‑interviewing skills. • Ability to interpret clinical information, assess treatment implications, and develop & implement care plans. • Prioritization, multitasking, and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment. • Up‑to‑date knowledge of nursing standards in specialty care. • Excellent documentation and communication; basic computer skills.
