Salary: $256,651.00/year – $269,202.00/year (based on experience).

Duties South Beach Psychiatric Center, an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrists to serve as Clinical Leads of multidisciplinary treatment teams. As a Psychiatrist you will provide comprehensive, patient‑centered and recovery‑focused treatments to individuals with mental illness 18 years of age or older, including:

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and patient admissions

Create treatment plans including medication management

Obtain and review appropriate laboratory tests and consult with members of the treatment team as needed

Provide individual and group psychotherapy

Supervise psychiatric residents and fellows

Minimum Qualifications

Psychiatrist 1:

License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State; completion of a psychiatry training program approved by the ABPN.

Psychiatrist 2:

License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State; certification in psychiatry approved by the ABPN.

External or State Service candidates may be considered under the HELPS program if licensed in New York State and ABPN certified; or considered for competitive class appointments if eligible under Section 70.1.

Compensation:

Psychiatrist 1: $256,651

Psychiatrist 2: $269,202

Downstate adjustment of $4,000.

Eligibility Conditions

Cannot be listed as an excluded individual/entity on any federal or state Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists.

May be required to become an enrolled Medicare provider and obtain an NPI number.

Loss of license, limited permit, or board certification may result in removal from the position.
