About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Risk Management in Wealth Management. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the firm's efforts to maintain a strong and resilient business, with a focus on anticipating and addressing new and emerging risks. This role is pivotal in supporting the implementation of comprehensive risk management frameworks and practices, and in ensuring that the firm's risk management strategies align with its goals and regulatory requirements. The Vice President will be responsible for challenging and enhancing existing risk policies, standards, and controls, as well as for leading a team in the ongoing assessment and monitoring of governance frameworks. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, a minimum of 10 years' experience in risk management, finance, or a related area, and a strong understanding of risk management principles and regulatory requirements. The role requires excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as strong leadership and team management abilities. The ideal candidate will also have experience in developing and implementing risk management frameworks and strategies, and a Master's degree or professional certification is preferred. The Vice President will be expected to foster a risk-aware culture within the organization, provide guidance and training on risk management practices, and collaborate with senior management to integrate risk management into strategic planning and decision-making processes.
