Floor General Managers (Manager of Projects 4/5) at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) within the Associate Laboratory Directorate, Plutonium Infrastructure (ALDPI). This position manages major capital projects related to infrastructure required to meet plutonium pit production deliverables and works directly with senior leadership to ensure execution of the Plutonium infrastructure Directorate capital construction project portfolio. The role reports to the Project-Program Director and is critical to the safe and efficient execution of infrastructure projects. Responsibilities

Provide capabilities and Laboratory elements to deliver safe execution of construction projects and assure performance against prime contract requirements. Assist in direction, coordination, and evaluation of construction activities (decommissioning & demolition, equipment installation) and management operations. Participate in decision?making by evaluating impacts of operational decisions and opportunities for improvement related to construction activities. Plan and execute day?to?day construction activities, drive projects, and deliver with urgency to meet mission needs. Report administratively to a Manager of Projects 5 or a Program Director in Plutonium Infrastructure. Levels and Compensation

Manager of Projects 4: $138,500 $233,200 Manager of Projects 5: $166,900 $289,000 What You Need

Minimum Job Requirements

Technical Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage a technically oriented project management team on moderately to exceptionally complex projects; experience managing construction projects and proactively managing scope, risks, and project execution plans. Technical Excellence Nuclear facility/project experience; DOE O 413.3B or equivalent requirements; knowledge of engineering, procurement, construction, turnover to operations, and EVMS, including financial analysis and planning concepts. Collaboration and Coalition Building Ability to develop internal/external customer relationships; promote open communication; foster teamwork and employee development. Personal Leadership Experience in personnel management, customer engagement, financial and schedule management. Communication Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication; reporting project status to senior management and stakeholders. Compliance and Security Experience meeting contractual requirements and working within a national security environment. Additional Requirements for Manager of Projects 5

Advanced leadership of a technically oriented project management team; experience with EVMS; risk identification and mitigation; change control. Advanced knowledge of nuclear facility/programmatic project work; strong interfaces across construction, engineering, procurement; broad knowledge of industry standards; ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, and technical baselines. Education/Experience: Manager of Projects 4 level requires a Bachelor's and 8 years related experience (or equivalent); Manager of Projects 5 level requires a Bachelor's and 12 years related experience (or 20 years if no Bachelors). Desirable Qualifications

LANL operations familiarity with nuclear facilities or similar hazardous operations. Experience working with federal customers or at headquarters/field offices on integrated project teams. Project Management Institute PMP certification or equivalent. Active DOE Q clearance desired. Essential Job Functions

Mobility around a job/construction site (walking, bending, crawling, climbing, squatting, kneeling) and wearing required PPE. Work Location

Onsite in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at management discretion. Schedule

24/7 coverage may be required; shift/weekend assignments are at the managers discretion. Eligible for shift differential pay as assigned. Note to Applicants and Compliance
