Assistant Project Manager

Position Overview The

Assistant Project Manager (APM)

supports the Project Manager and Superintendent throughout all phases of construction — from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate has prior multifamily or commercial construction experience and thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Project Manager in

planning, scheduling, and managing daily project operations

for multifamily developments.

Coordinate with

superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors

to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.

Manage

RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes

in alignment with company standards.

Support

budget tracking, cost reports, and contract documentation

to maintain financial accuracy throughout the project.

Ensure compliance with

project safety, quality, and performance standards .

Help maintain relationships with

owners, design teams, and consultants

to ensure clear communication and expectations.

Assist with

project closeout, punch lists, and warranty documentation .

Use project management software (e.g.,

Procore, Bluebeam, or similar ) to update project records and communicate progress.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

2–5 years of experience as a

Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager

within

multifamily or commercial construction .

Strong understanding of

construction drawings, specifications, and submittal processes .

Proficiency with

Procore, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite .

Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to supporting the project team.
