Human Resources Generalist
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support our day-to-day employee and contractor operations. This role will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and support day-to-day HR operations across various functional areas Assist in the coordination of recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews for corporate personnel Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees and independent contractors Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee, and independent contractor records in HR systems and files Address employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and HR programs Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures Qualifications
Essential
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field 2-4 years of experience in a generalist HR role or similar HR function Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, start-up environment Preferred
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) Prior experience supporting a multi-site or remote workforce Experience in defense industry Experience with an independent contractor workforce
