Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Specialist to manage the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services essential to our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and cost optimization strategies, with hands-on experience in SAP transactions related to purchasing. Responsibilities
Execute procurement strategies to acquire goods and services at the best value. Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including RFQs, purchase orders, and contract negotiations. Maintain and update supplier records, evaluate vendor performance, and build strong supplier relationships. Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics to ensure supply chain continuity. Utilize SAP to process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts, and invoice verifications. Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities. Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations. Required Skills/Abilities
Proficiency in SAP purchasing transactions (e.g., ME21N, ME51N, ME23N, MIGO, MIRO). Proficiency in MS Suite. Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of procurement best practices and contract management. Leadership and supervisory skills Problem-solving and decision-making abilities Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. 4+ years of experience in industrial procurement or purchasing roles. Familiar with electric components. 1-3 years of experience at an electrical distributor (Graybar, Rexel etc.). Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
