About the Role
Summit Skilled Solutions (S3) is growing rapidly and we’re seeking a
Business Development Manager (BDM)
to lead that expansion. This individual will build and manage relationships with
commercial and industrial contractors, manufacturers, and major accounts , providing skilled tradespeople to meet workforce needs.
The ideal candidate thrives on connecting with contractors — especially those who
travel, do shutdowns and perform project-based work.
This role blends
strategic sales, relationship management, and industry networking
to drive growth across multiple markets.
Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities
Develop and grow new business relationships with decision‑makers in commercial and industrial construction and manufacturing.
Target
traveling contractors, shutdown crews, and major accounts
requiring skilled labor support.
Expand revenue and service reach with existing client accounts.
Conduct needs assessments to identify workforce challenges and propose S3 staffing solutions (temporary, temp‑to‑hire, and permanent).
Apply the
Counselor Sales Process (CSP)
to close client service agreements (CSA) and maintain profitable relationships.
Collaborate with operations to ensure seamless fulfillment and client satisfaction.
Serve as the client’s primary point of contact through the sales and delivery process.
Achieve monthly sales and profitability goals while meeting or exceeding CSA targets.
Business Development Manager Qualifications
High School Diploma required; advanced education preferred.
3+ years of B2B or consultative sales experience , ideally within construction, industrial, or staffing environments.
Documented history of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Skilled in managing long‑term partnerships and large‑scale client agreements.
Strong negotiation, lead generation, and communication skills.
Proven ability to navigate the complete sales lifecycle — from prospecting to closing and retention.
A collaborative, solutions‑driven mindset.
Business Development Manager Compensation and Benefits
Base salary + uncapped commission
Expected first‑year earnings:
$50,000–$70,000+
Second‑year potential:
$100,000+
