The hospital serves as a Level III regional Perinatal Center and Trauma Center and is the teaching hospital for Cooper Medical School of Rowan University.
Location: Cape Regional, Cape May Court House, NJ – 2 Stone Harbor Boulevard.
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician to work full‑time nights and swing shift at our Cape Regional location. Candidates will work alongside an APP.
Physician Will Provide The Following Services
Complete all duties of attending physician as outlined in the Medical Staff Bylaws
Coordinate all specialty consultations and resource utilization
Admit patients to the service
Discharge patients in a timely manner
At time of discharge/transfer complete Discharge Instructions and medication reconciliation
Dictate DC Summary at time of discharge and indicate copy to be sent to family doctor and all specialists following patient during stay
Participate in QI and RM and UM as reasonably requested
Respond to Hospital codes as Lead Physician as requested
Participate as a back‑up member of the Rapid Response Team when Cooper Intensivists are not scheduled
Complete Medical Records in a timely fashion
Adhere to Medical Staff Bylaws, Hospital Rules and Regulations, and policies
Perform other life/limb saving procedures as may be necessary
Make best effort to ensure compliance with all Core Measure quality indicators for patients under their care
Perform the duties as mutually agreed
Participate in teaching of house staff
Comply with the requirements of the voluntary teaching faculty
Respond to PRN calls for evaluation/orders
