The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within California’s infrastructure market. The role will emphasize growth across

general infrastructure projects

— including

new construction, commercial buildings, bridges, and related capital projects

— while also targeting high-priority accounts such as the

Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), LA Metro Transportation Department, Port of Long Beach, SoFi Stadium & Hollywood Park, and regional bridge authorities . The successful candidate will combine strong relationship‑building skills, industry knowledge, and consultative selling expertise to expand Mistras’ footprint and deliver measurable revenue growth.

Major Responsibilities/Activities

Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive growth across California’s infrastructure sector.

Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities with general contractors, EPCs, engineering firms, and public/private owners.

Build strong relationships with decision‑makers and influencers across construction, building, and bridge markets.

Pursue key accounts including, but not limited to, the following: LADWP, LAX, LA Metro, Port of Long Beach, SoFi Stadium/Hollywood Park, and state/regional bridge authorities.

Promote Mistras’ comprehensive service portfolio, including non‑destructive testing, structural health monitoring, acoustic emission, inspection, and engineering services.

Partner with internal operations, engineering, and marketing teams to deliver client‑focused proposals and solutions.

Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations, bids, and RFP responses.

Track industry trends, competitive intelligence, and customer needs to inform business strategy.

Consistently achieve or exceed assigned revenue and business development targets.

Represent Mistras at infrastructure‑related industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field.

Familiarity with NDT, structural monitoring, or asset protection services.5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within construction, infrastructure, or engineering markets.

Strong knowledge of new construction, buildings, bridges, and related infrastructure projects.

Established network with contractors, general contractors, and EPC firms involved in capital projects.

Proven ability to win new business and deliver revenue growth.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Ability to work independently, while collaborating effectively across cross‑functional teams.

Direct sales experience with technical services such as inspection, testing, monitoring, or engineering.

Existing contacts with California‑based infrastructure accounts (e.g., LADWP, LAX, LA Metro, Port of Long Beach, SoFi Stadium/Hollywood Park, bridge authorities).

Compensation range is $165-185K
