Job Description
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an acute care setting, with responsibilities focused on assessing and responding to life-threatening situations. The RN will work effectively under pressure and manage patient care utilizing strong problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
Assess patient's clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs. Identify and intervene in life-threatening situations promptly. Provide quality patient care in stressful situations. Function as a charge nurse as required. Ensure safety and implement proper techniques for patient movement. Maintain thorough knowledge of nursing principles and practices. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Current New York State RN license. BLS and ACLS certification required. PALS certification required or to be obtained within six months of hire. Experience with MEDITECH is mandatory. Travel experience is required. Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience required; critical care and charge experience preferred. IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification must be completed during orientation. Why ARMStaffing?
