Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr
LHH is seeking a Payroll Tax Analyst/Senior Analyst in Metro Atlanta, GA. This role focuses on moderate to complex tax accounting/withholding, reporting, analysis, and audit activities to ensure accurate and timely financial results. You’ll provide work direction to team associates, act as a technical and functional subject matter expert in payroll tax, and drive process improvements.
Responsibilities
Analyze and resolve tax-related queries
Calculate retroactive tax and gross-to-net calculations, including tax withholding
Review and balance W-2 files
Ensure tax data integrity for filings
Recommend and implement process improvements
Handle W-2 corrections and reissues per IRS regulations
Analyze and test payroll tax updates
Provide client support for escalated tax and accounting issues
Maintain employee master tax data and process mass tax updates
Support problem resolution for tax-related issues
Assist team leaders with complex payroll tax matters
Reconcile payroll-related balance sheet accounts
Maintain employee tax records
Partner with internal teams to deliver high-quality client service
Provide reports to internal teams as required
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in a payroll-related field
Minimum 3 years of payroll tax experience
Ability to work collaboratively and independently, applying sound judgment
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, PowerPoint)
ADP experience is a plus
Candidates may be considered at Analyst or Senior Analyst level, based on experience
