About the role The Senior Area Business Analyst plays a key role in enabling our field sales teams to reach their targets across a designated U.S. sales area. This role supports the execution of go-to-market strategies, territory and data modeling, and sales enablement initiatives. Success in this position relies on proactive analytics, operational support, and strong cross‑functional collaboration with departments including Pricing and Contracting, Marketing, Finance, and IT.
This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to Sales Leadership, providing insights, tools, and recommendations that elevate performance and align with strategic objectives. This position requires a high level of business acumen, analytical capability, and communication skills.
Work model, sponsorship, relocation At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.
Your responsibilities will include:
Create, develop, and distribute sales analytics and reporting to assist field sales teams and sales leadership in tracking key performance indicators
Partner with Sales Leadership and cross‑functional teams to design and implement strategic projects that drive sales execution
Identify and implement best practices for education platforms, analytics tools, and process improvements
Support go‑to‑market strategies by optimizing data workflows and operational processes
Recommend and facilitate the effective use of Sales Enablement platforms and tools
Conduct field research to identify business drivers and uncover opportunities to improve planning and project execution
Deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations to improve field support and overall performance
Serve as a liaison between Sales and internal departments, ensuring timely and effective communication
Leverage Tableau and Business Intelligence tools to create intuitive and repeatable analyses
Champion efficiency improvements within Sales Operations and the broader sales organization
Translate business needs into executable processes aligned with user requirements
Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 5 years' experience in sales, sales operations, sales enablement, or finance
Experience supporting a field sales organization
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to synthesize insights for senior leadership
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex business challenges and implement effective solutions
Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across levels
Self‑starter with a strong sense of ownership and urgency
Detail‑oriented with the ability to balance immediate needs and long‑term strategic goals
Demonstrated proficiency in developing Tableau dashboards or similar data visualizations (applicants may be asked to present past work)
Expert‑level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word
Willingness to travel approximately 5‑10% for internal meetings and events
Preferred qualifications
At least 3 years of experience with Salesforce.com or a similar CRM platform (user experience is a plus)
Prior experience in the Medical Device industry, analytics, or sales strategy
Understanding of field sales force interactions and workflows
Experience delivering sales training and enablement support
Background in Sales Operations, Finance, or Sales Compensation is strongly preferred
Salary Minimum Salary: $82,600
Maximum Salary: $156,900
