School Psychologist – Salem, OR
A dedicated School Psychologist position is available in Salem, OR, serving K-12 students under a contract for the current school year. This role combines engaging work with evaluation teams and direct support to school buildings to meet diverse student needs.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with evaluation teams 23 days per week to conduct assessments and provide tailored recommendations.
Support one or two school buildings 23 days per week by assisting special education teams in student evaluations.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations emphasizing Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) populations.
Provide consultation and guidance on assessment results and student interventions to special education teams.
Manage a caseload averaging 6075 evaluations annually, varying by school assignment.
Participate in team meetings, ARDs/IEPs, and ongoing professional development as required.
Qualifications
Valid Oregon School Psychologist license or eligibility for licensure.
Demonstrated experience in conducting ASD and CLD evaluations.
Strong knowledge of special education processes, assessments, and interventions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple evaluations efficiently.
