Logistics Coordinator
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize our client's supply chain operations. This role is responsible for coordinating the movement of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining inventory accuracy, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to streamline logistics processes. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity located near Elk Grove Village, IL.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations including shipping, receiving, and inventory management. Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure smooth logistics flow. Track shipments and update stakeholders on delivery status. Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for shipments, inventory, and logistics activities. Resolve issues related to transportation delays, damaged goods, or inventory discrepancies. Support procurement and warehouse teams with logistics planning and execution. Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain coordination. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Knowledge of international shipping and customs procedures. Familiarity with lean logistics and continuous improvement practices.
Job Details:
Contract to Hire Pay is $24-$35 an hour, depending on experience
