We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate
Orthodontic Dental Assistant
to join our team. In this role, you will support the orthodontist in providing high-quality patient care through chairside assistance, patient education, and clinical coordination. You'll also help maintain a clean, organized, and compliant clinical environment while contributing to a positive patient experience. Key Responsibilities: Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control standards. Assist the orthodontist during procedures by positioning patients, managing instruments, and handling orthodontic appliances. Educate patients on treatment plans, post-procedure care, and oral hygiene practices. Manage patient scheduling and provide occasional support to front office operations. Assist with treatment planning, billing, and insurance documentation. Ensure accurate and timely submission of expenses and invoices. Maintain inventory of orthodontic materials, instruments, and equipment. Address patient and team concerns with professionalism and empathy. Foster a positive, team-oriented, and patient-focused work environment. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience as an
Orthodontic Dental Assistant
or equivalent dental assisting role. Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Education: Completion of an
accredited Dental Assistant program , or Minimum of
one year of hands-on experience
as a Dental Assistant. Certifications & Licensure: CPR Certification
(current). RDA (AMT), DANB, or CODA
certification.
