Position Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for continually focusing on achieving hotel profitability through revenue generation, cost control, guest satisfaction and developing employees, while maintaining the integrity of the hotel.

Essential Job Functions
Oversee the day‑to‑day operations and assignments of the hotel staff; assist the Regional Director of Operations in developing and communicating departmental strategies and goals. Communicate and enforce policies and procedures.
Recommend and/or initiate salary, disciplinary, or other staffing/human resources‑related actions in accordance with company rules and policies, and alert the Regional Director of Operations of potentially serious issues.
Ensure all staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions.
Assist Regional Director of Operations in developing, implementing and monitoring financial and operational plans for the hotel that support the overall objectives of the company. Provide regular direction and oversee hotel operations, including:
Front office, revenue, and reservation functions to ensure delivery of superior guest services, security of monies, and achievement of established goals.
Food and beverage departments to maintain operational standards and achieve profit and revenue goals.
Housekeeping and maintenance functions to ensure compliance with quality standards in appearance and cleanliness.
Security function to ensure a safe environment for guests, employees, and hotel assets.
Sales functions to meet the hotel’s overall financial objectives.
Human resources function for positive employee relations, training and development, wage/benefit administration, and compliance with labor regulations.
Accounting and purchasing controls and procedures.
Develop, manage and foster positive owner relationships where applicable and provide ongoing information and status reports.
Use company‑wide tools, systems and applications without exception.
Make recommendations for capital improvements to enhance company assets and brand loyalty.
Maintain and uphold brand standards to the highest level.
Experience And Education
Prior General Manager, Operations Manager, or Assistant General Manager experience.
Experience with brand’s PMS and point‑of‑sales systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 or similar computer applications.
Minimum high school diploma, GED or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, or related major preferred.
