AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are critical members of our sales organization, working with clients on advanced projects that demand expert knowledge. You will create scalable, flexible, and resilient architectures, helping clients refactor applications or design new cloud-based systems. The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) within AWS Sales is responsible for driving growth from small to mid-market accounts and enterprise-level clients, including public sector organizations. We focus on solving customers' most complex business problems and turning innovative ideas into substantial business opportunities. The WWSO Cloud Operations team is dedicated to helping customers optimize their cloud operations. As a Senior Specialist Solution Architect on this team, you will play a key role in executing technical activities to foster the adoption of AWS Cloud Operations services such as Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon OpenSearch Service, Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus, Amazon Managed Grafana, and AWS Distro for OpenTelemetry. Key Responsibilities: Act as the voice of the customer, providing valuable feedback to influence product development and roadmaps. Utilize advanced technical knowledge to assist GTM teams in overcoming significant customer challenges. Share expertise and best practices through AWS blogs, whitepapers, and public-speaking events like AWS Summit and AWS re:Invent. Collaborate with Business Development teams to create exemplary GTM strategies, solutions, and initiatives. Build and support a worldwide community of technical subject matter experts, creating field enablement materials for Solutions Architects. About The Team:

This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP), which strategizes and provides technical expertise to address customer needs in technology domains. Basic Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, or systems engineering. 3+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting focused on applications and infrastructures. 10+ years of experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software industry. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, systems engineering, security, database architecture, and networking. Experience with OpenSearch in enterprise environments. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Go, Java, or C# and experience with infrastructure automation using AWS CDK or Terraform. Experience engaging with end-user or developer communities. Location: Job duties for this position include working cooperatively with other employees and adhering to excellence standards, especially in stressful conditions. You will communicate effectively to ensure exceptional customer service and comply with all laws and company policies.
