Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a field-based Oncology Senior Thought Leader Liaison to support the Northwest (MN, SD, NE, KS, CO, WA, OR) territory. This is a field‑based position in the United States, with a preference for candidates who are located in a major metropolitan market with easy access to a national airport. In this role you will lead the Northwest Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement strategy and contribute significantly to the overall KOL strategy for Multiple Myeloma brand innovations across our portfolio. You will build relationships with academic and community KOLs, maintain pulse on regional trends, coordinate marketing education plans, manage budgets, and partner with analytics and commercial teams to drive engagement and advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of regional KOL engagement and marketing education strategy, including oversight of peer‑to‑peer marketing plans, health‑care compliance training, and related activities.
Provide local market insights to the J&J Hematology team and collaborate with sales leaders, key business partners, and medical teams to craft future strategies for DARZALEX, TECVAYLI, TALVEY, and CARVYKTI.
Build trusting relationships with academic and community KOLs to achieve brand priorities.
Maintain awareness of regional multiple myeloma trends and coordinate education and engagement plans with cross‑functional partners to ensure alignment with brand strategy.
Partner with analytics to better understand regional treatment patterns and advise on peer‑to‑peer and insight program placement.
Supervise the regional marketing budget and provide continuous feedback on business planning.
Assist in crafting innovative educational platforms, including national and regional recommendations to tailor education to local needs.
Lead overall Multiple Myeloma strategy, including mapping, framework development, engagement planning for current brands and future launches, and marketing operations for KOL strategy.
Partner with Commercial Excellence to develop tools for insight generation and third‑party placement.
Potentially manage other oncology TLLs to increase capabilities and improve impact on key initiatives while maintaining full understanding of ACCME/HCC/PhRMA guidelines.
Requirements
BA/BS Degree in a related field; MBA, MD, PharmD, PhD or other related graduate degree preferred.
Minimum 6 years of experience in marketing, medical, key account management, or sales engaging with KOLs/Influential HCPs and professional healthcare organizations.
Deep understanding and experience working cross‑functionally with internal and external partners, with a strong ability to innovate, collaborate, and deliver results.
Demonstrated understanding of key industry trends and ability to develop strategies to stay ahead of the competition and improve patient outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to build and manage relevant and lasting customer relationships with a strong focus on patient impact and outstanding customer centricity.
Travel up to 65%, including internal meetings, advisory boards, medical meetings, congresses, and select program attendance.
A valid driver’s license issued in the United States is required.
Preferred
Previous cross‑functional industry experience in pharma or biotech engaging with KOLs and professional healthcare associations.
Deep medical/scientific knowledge/experience with a firm understanding of the oncology marketplace.
Experience leading through change and transformation, and exceptional communication and leadership skills.
Salary Range:
$137,000 – $235,750
