Job Summary Eco-Tech is a manufacturer’s representation organization for the municipal water and wastewater market.
Position Summary Inside Sales is a key contributor to the sales operations team, responsible for independently managing customer relationships, overseeing the full lifecycle of sales orders, and contributing to strategic sales initiatives. This role involves knowledge of municipal water and wastewater products, the ability to analyze customer needs, and discretion in pricing, quoting, and service recommendations. The position plays a vital role in supporting both revenue growth and operational efficiency across the organization.
Key Duties and Essential Functions
Serve as a point of contact for customers, offering product guidance, technical support, and customized solutions
Independently develop and issue sales quotes, including product selection, pricing strategy, and lead time estimation
Analyze customer purchase patterns and usage trends to proactively recommend products or services
Manage and oversee all aspects of the sales order process—from quote to delivery—ensuring alignment with customer requirements and internal capabilities
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to ensure feasibility and fulfillment of complex orders
Maintain accurate documentation and CRM records for all customer activity, quotes, and correspondence
Monitor and manage product inventory levels to ensure accurate stock availability, minimize backorder, and support timely order fulfillment
Lead internal communications with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues and improve customer satisfaction
Monitor market trends and customer feedback to recommend process or product improvements to leadership
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience in inside sales, account management, or sales operations, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong business acumen with demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in customer negotiations and pricing
Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems, with strong command of Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a consultative approach to sales support
Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and solve problems with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with valves, pumps and meters
Exposure to municipal or utility sector sales
Physical Demands and Work Environment The employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, occasionally stand and use hands to handle objects, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The standard office environment with minimal noise level.
