Solutions Architect - Joint DoD SA

Overview Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Solutions Architect focused on the Department of Defense. Are you passionate about helping U.S. Department of Defense organizations harness the power of cloud computing? In this role, you'll facilitate understanding of application architectures and integration methods, utilizing your consultative skills to ensure successful project launches. This position allows you to define strategies for broad AWS service adoption among our customers and ecosystem partners. Responsibilities Lead technical engagements and ensure the success of specific implementation projects. Design implementation architectures and contribute to RFI and RFP responses. Develop deep expertise in AWS technologies while understanding how applications and services leverage the AWS platform. Act as a subject matter expert on security for customer applications and services. Provide thoughtful technical designs mindful of customer needs in the Defense sector for cloud computing. Champion the capture and sharing of best practices within the AWS solution architect community. Collaborate with sales and business development, educating other tech professionals on enterprise architecture. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Minimum of 2 years' experience in design, implementation, or consulting for applications and infrastructures. 4+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics. 10+ years of IT development or consulting experience in software or Internet industries. A Bachelor's degree, or certifications such as CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, or CSSLP. Preferred Qualifications Experience in software development or Internet-related fields. Experience with migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud. Hands-on experience with AWS technologies from a DevOps perspective.
