Automotive Finance and Insurance (F&I) Manager
We are seeking an experienced, results-focused Automotive Finance and Insurance Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in financial services and dealership operations, with a passion for customer service and high ethical standards. The F&I Manager is responsible for securing vehicle financing for new and used car buyers and selling finance and insurance products while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Financing and Sales : Manage all financing aspects of vehicle purchases, presenting and selling financial products and services, such as financing, extended warranties, and aftermarket products.
Lender Relations : Establish and maintain strong working relationships with financial institutions and lenders to secure competitive interest rates and financing programs for customers.
Compliance and Ethics : Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations that affect vehicle sales and financing, including the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and Title laws.
Paperwork and Documentation : Accurately process and submit all transaction-related paperwork, including loan and title documents, in a timely and efficient manner.
Sales and Training : Collaborate with the sales team to structure deals and provide ongoing training on finance and lease programs to maximize dealership profitability.
Customer Satisfaction : Cultivate customer relationships and maintain a high customer satisfaction index (CSI) by clearly explaining financing and insurance options and resolving any related issues.
Reporting and Analysis : Track and report on key performance indicators, including finance penetration, profitability metrics, and contracts in transit (CITs).
Qualifications:
Experience : A minimum of 2–3 years of F&I manager or automotive sales experience is typically required.
Education : A high school diploma or GED is required, but a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field is often preferred.
Certification : AFIP or equivalent certification is a plus.
Skills :
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
to interact with customers, lenders, and team members.
Strong mathematical and financial analysis skills
to structure deals and analyze credit reports.
Proficiency with dealership software , such as Dealer Management Systems (DMS), and other computer programs.
Highly organized and detail-oriented , with a focus on compliance.
Other Requirements :
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a high volume of transactions.
