About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) to join their dynamic team. The CAO will be a key leader in the finance function, responsible for all accounting capabilities, including financial reporting, technical accounting, IT automation, tax, regulatory compliance, and more. This role demands a strategic partner who can work closely with the CFO, CEO, and other executives to drive business success and elevate the quality of financial management. The successful candidate will have a strong technical accounting background, extensive experience in a high-growth technology business, and a proven track record of managing large-scale finance and accounting operations. Major responsibilities for the CAO include leading global accounting practices, supporting cash management, preparing SEC filings, and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations. The ideal candidate will be an inspirational leader, adept at building and leading high-performance teams, and will have a solid executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Candidates for the CAO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with a CPA, CMA, or CIA certification required. A minimum of 20 years' of accounting experience, with at least 7 years' in an executive leadership role, is essential. The role requires a leader with a balance of humility and confidence, capable of managing details hands-on while also mentoring and developing large teams. Experience in M&A activities, including due diligence and related accounting matters, is also a key qualification.
