Ledgent is partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit organization in the Arden area of Sacramento to find a skilled
Payroll Administrator
to join their team. This is a direct hire opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting impactful work through accurate and efficient payroll processing. Key Responsibilities
Process
bi-weekly payroll
for approximately
400 employees , primarily using
Microsoft Excel . Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Handle all aspects of payroll including:
Garnishments Bonuses and commissions Workers' compensation reporting Final paycheck processing 401(k) contributions and deductions
Assist with
employee onboarding and terminations , including payroll setup and final pay. Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations. Stay current on
payroll laws and compliance requirements . Prepare reports and audits as needed for internal and external stakeholders. Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong Excel skills
are a must, including:
Writing formulas Pivot tables VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP Sorting and formatting data
Experience with
ADP Workforce Now
is a
plus
(implementation may occur in the near future). Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience, preferably in a high-volume environment. Familiarity with nonprofit payroll practices is a plus.
