Position Summary The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico’s University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. The CDD Nurse Educator serves as the nurse supervisor for the national evidence‑based home visiting program, Nurse‑Family Partnership (NFP). This position provides clinical leadership and operational support for a team of eight Nurse Home Visitors, ensuring implementation of the NFP model with fidelity and in compliance with state, federal, and National Service Office regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct weekly one‑on‑one clinical supervision sessions and lead structured case conferences.

Plan and perform joint home visits and manage client caseload assignments.

Monitor program quality and productivity, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting to meet state and national benchmarks.

Coordinate outreach efforts across clinics, hospitals, and community partners to generate referrals for the program.

Maintain a small client caseload and provide direct services as needed.

Engage in support with the National Service Office consultant to maintain model fidelity.

Build and sustain community partnerships, and support staff recruitment, onboarding, and training.

Promote a strengths‑based, client‑centered team culture and take on additional responsibilities as needed to ensure program success.

Conditions of Employment

Must pass a pre‑employment criminal background check and verification of credentials.

Must maintain current RN licensure in the State of New Mexico or temporary licensure as documented.

Require a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for local travel to meetings and home visits.

Will receive Hepatitis vaccination; candidates may decline by submitting a declination form or providing proof of prior vaccination.

Employees in patient care areas must comply with the University’s influenza vaccination requirement.

Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree in Nursing and at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

State of New Mexico Licensed Registered Nurse or licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure.

Current RN licensure from a state participating in the multi‑state privilege to practice compact with New Mexico.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year‑for‑year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Comprehensive knowledge of the NFP model and experience delivering NFP home‑visiting services.

Demonstrated program leadership and presentation skills.

Fluency in English and Spanish.

Knowledge of community outreach practices.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Passing a background check with fingerprinting is a requirement for this position.
