$77,000.00/yr - $82,000.00/yr Position Summary

The Senior Accountant/Assistant manages the financials for multiple companies under the same ownership group and assists the Controller with monthly reconciliations and reporting. This role involves collaborating with senior management and providing financial analysis, ensuring that the business entities’ day-to-day financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. Financial Reporting and Analysis

Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reconcile accounts, and perform variance and trend analysis. Review year-end analysis and cost variances and prepare reports with recommendations. Gather and document business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and creating reports and dashboards to provide data-driven insights. Maintenance of organized system of accounting records to support financial reporting. Accounting Operations

Manage and oversee day‑to‑day accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, expense management, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance. Utilize tools and software to prepare dashboards and financial summaries to discuss with leadership and make recommendations. Budgeting and Forecasting

Support the creation of the company budget and financial forecasts, track against targets, identify areas for cost reduction or efficiency improvements, and monitor financial performance. Internal Controls and Compliance

Help establish and maintain internal controls, ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulations and industry standards, and assist with tax filings. Identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve financial processes. Audit Support

Provide support to the external audit process by preparing requested documents and serving as a liaison. Assist Controller and external auditors for annual and quarterly audits. Company Standards

Works within and promotes corporate vision, mission, and values. Must be able to meet and/or exceed annual KPI’s. Performs other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent required. At least 3-5 years of industry-related experience including Senior Accountant or Assistant Controller positions. Experience with data analytics and ERP programs. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to think strategically and adapt to changing business environments. Thorough understanding of GAAP accounting practices, budgeting and cost accounting. Strong analytical, decision‑making, and critical thinking skills. High‑pressure environment experience. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with accounting and payroll software programs, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Benefits
