We’re seeking an experienced Field Superintendent for our client in Wilmette, IL to oversee the day-to-day, on‑site management of residential remodeling and new construction projects. This role ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of craftsmanship and client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, hands‑on leader with excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of coordinating multiple trades while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient jobsite.
Responsibilities
Oversee all field operations and act as the primary on‑site representative.
Coordinate daily work with trades, suppliers, inspectors, and internal teams.
Ensure adherence to approved plans, schedules, building codes, and safety standards.
Maintain detailed project documentation, daily logs, and inspection reports.
Conduct quality control checks and manage punch lists through project closeout.
Represent the company professionally with clients, architects, and trade partners.
Enforce site safety, organization, and cleanliness at all times.
Qualifications
5+ years
of residential construction experience (remodeling or custom homes).
Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and building codes.
Proven ability to manage multiple trades and maintain project schedules.
Proficient with
construction management software
(BuilderTrend or similar), digital drawings, and cloud-based documentation.
Excellent leadership, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Hands‑on carpentry or construction background.
