Job Overview
Degree Works Business Analyst – Clemson University – Full-time – Entry level.
Job Summary Manages and maintains Degree Works, the degree audit system within IROAR. Configures and programs curriculum and degree requirements to reflect the university catalog and ensure accurate academic progress tracking for students and advisors. Troubleshoots issues, tests system updates, and supports related projects as assigned.
Job Duties
System Development and Compliance (50%) Programs curriculum requirements approved by faculty for all undergraduate degrees within assigned colleges. Reviews, interprets, and programs academic policies into the system. Assesses curriculum additions and changes prior to university approval to ensure compliance with federal financial aid regulation, Course Program of Study. Attends all Undergraduate Curriculum Committee meetings.
System Maintenance (25%) Performs regular maintenance by updating system tables, adjusting coding/programming as needed, applying blanket substitutions/overrides to ensure degree requirements are accurate. Works with system and database managers to test upgrades and changes. Assists in developing functional specifications for system improvements. Maintains testing documentation.
System Troubleshooting (25%) Diagnostics and solutions for system issues. Coordinates with appropriate team members (Associate Registrar, administrators, advisors, instructors, curriculum chairs). Troubleshoots issues and communicates resolution.
Minimum Requirements
Education: High School or Equivalent.
Work Experience: 1+ years in computer system development and modification. A bachelor's degree in a related area may substitute for required experience.
Preferred Requirements
Work Experience: 2+ years in a related field.
