Responsibilities
Teach lower‑division Spanish courses and occasionally upper‑division courses.
Create engaging learning environments for all students.
Organize co‑curricular activities, program recruitment, and limited committee work.
Maintain a teaching load of 4–5 courses per year.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Spanish or related studies, or 18 graduate credit hours in Spanish with a Master’s in a non‑related discipline.
Strong background in proficiency‑oriented instruction.
Native or near‑native proficiency in Spanish and English.
Documented record of teaching Spanish courses in face‑to‑face or hybrid/online settings.
Documented experience in professional service.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching courses in multiple modalities (face‑to‑face, online, hybrid).
Experience with language assessment design and administration.
Familiarity with current trends in language pedagogy, cultural studies, and related technologies.
Team‑work competence within the Department of World Languages and Cultures.
Experience in organizing co‑curricular activities, program recruitment, or student advising.
