Intermediate Clinical Billing Specialist

Intermediate Clinical Billing Specialist
and play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of medical claims within our revenue cycle. Summary of Job Duties
Under limited supervision, manage payer rejections in the clearinghouse, correct claim edits in EPIC, and ensure claims meet filing deadlines to achieve a high rate of clean submissions. Utilize third‑party billing requirements, analyze patient account balances, and apply basic accounting skills to estimate payer reimbursement. Responsibilities
Accurately organize and replenish par levels of medical/surgical supplies in automated cabinets and bulk rooms. Check par areas daily, break down pallets, and deliver supplies on carts. Maintain inventory counts, perform cycle counts, and correct discrepancies. Rotate supplies on a FIFO basis, ensuring integrity and removing outdated items. Keep cabinets and carts orderly, label shelves, and complete necessary repairs. Staff the Central Supply dispatch window, issue procedural trays and carts, and record all transactions. Coordinate after‑hour delivery of isolation carts. Qualifications
Minimum
Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR associate’s degree with two (2) years of healthcare revenue cycle experience OR high school diploma/GED with four (4) years of related experience. Preferred
Six (6) months of medical billing experience with basic CPT/ICD‑10 understanding. Basic HCPCS coding knowledge. Experience using EPIC. Salary Information
