Overview This Supervisory IT Specialist (SYS/ANALYSIS) position (GS‑2210‑15) is located in the Division of Plan Data, Center for Medicare (CMS) and will serve as the Deputy Division Director. The successful candidate will lead staff responsible for managing Medicare Advantage (MA) and Prescription Drug (Part D) information systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

Serve as the Division Deputy Director performing programmatic administrative responsibilities to direct, manage, and accomplish organizational goals.

Resolve emerging complex issues, advising leadership on potential problems and recommending program and technical solutions.

Identify and assess best practices and innovations in e‑government and private sector solutions for MA and Part D information systems.

Negotiate schedules, costs, and deliverables with project teams, functional activity groups, and business partners within and outside CMS.

Qualifications BASIC REQUIREMENT

IT‑related experience at the GS‑14 level demonstrating each of the following competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, Problem Solving.

Specialized Experience (GS‑15)

Managing the development and implementation of integrated information systems and e‑government initiatives supporting MA and Part D.

Leading teams in developing and maintaining MA and Part D system functionality using Agile program management methodologies.

Advising on MA and Part D information systems and operations (e.g., enrollment, contracting, monitoring, payment data calculations).

Developing technical recommendations to promote automation, improve efficiency, and enhance customer service for MA and Part D.

One year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to GS‑14 in the federal government, private or public sector, is required.

Education This position does not have a formal education qualification requirement.
