Summary Position located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), Patient Care Models Group (PCMG), Division of Health Care Payment Models (DHCPM). Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist, GS‑0107‑14, serves as Deputy Director of DHCPM, providing leadership and executive direction for programs within the Division.

Overview Open 11/03/2025 – 11/07/2025. Salary $142,488–$185,234 per year. Grade GS‑14. Locations: Washington, DC; Bethesda, MD; Woodlawn, MD.

Duties / Responsibilities

Plan and oversee workload distribution for the division, set priorities, and prepare schedules for completion.

Direct activities to ensure the successful planning, development, and implementation of new and existing payment models.

Review proposed policies or changes in operations to assess the impact on current and future program decisions.

Serve as principal advisor to the Director on payment model requirements and issues.

Evaluate employee performance, recommend awards or bonuses, and coach, counsel, and instruct staff on work and administrative matters.

Subject to a background and suitability investigation.

Time‑in‑Grade restrictions apply (minimum 52 weeks at the next lower grade).

Qualifications All qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date.

Analyze policies to determine their impact on health care program operations.

Collaborate with teams and stakeholders on model development and implementation.

Volunteer experience, including national service programs, may be credited as qualifying experience.

Time‑in‑Grade: current federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks at the next lower grade level.

Education This position does not have an education qualification requirement.
