Summary
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare (CM), Medicare Drug Benefit and C&D Data Group (FCHG). As a Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist, GS‑0107‑15, you will serve as an advisor to the CM Director and other leaders on prescription drug issues. Overview

Plans, organizes, and directs analysis of major Part C and Part D policies, including legislative changes. Serves as Deputy Group Director and shares programmatic and administrative responsibilities with the Group Director. Acts as expert resource on Medicare prescription drug and quality measurement and improvement issues, policies, strategy, and analysis. Leads and directs projects to analyze key policy issues supporting legislative, regulatory, policy, and operational initiatives. Plans work for subordinates, sets short‑term priorities, and prepares work schedules. Qualifications
Experience:
At least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to GS‑14 in either the private or public sector, including: Supervisory duties establishing program policies and procedures for Medicare Part D or health program quality measurement and improvement. Overseeing design, implementation, management, or improvement of Medicare Part D policies, operations, or procedures. Providing technical leadership in development and implementation of Medicare Part D and quality measurement and improvement policies, strategy, or analysis. Communicating technical Medicare Part C or D information in various formats (regulations, guidance documents, briefing papers, presentations, or meetings). Education:
No specific degree required. Conditions of Employment
