Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Controller to oversee and manage all accounting and financial operations across our four entities. This is a key leadership role within a small, high-impact team — ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on, fast‑paced environment and takes pride in maintaining impeccable financial organization and accuracy.
As the financial pulse of the company, you will be responsible for all bookkeeping, reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis across our construction, development, brokerage, investment, and wholesaling divisions. You will ensure that all accounts are reconciled, all income and expenses are properly categorized, and that management has a clear, real‑time understanding of our financial position.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee
full-cycle accounting
across all entities, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and month‑end close.
Reconcile
bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany balances
monthly.
Manage
construction project budgets, job costing, and expense allocations .
Track and report
income and expenses
for wholesaling, investment, and development operations.
Prepare and present
monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
to ownership.
Maintain complete and accurate
general ledger and chart of accounts
for all entities.
Manage
vendor payments, contractor invoicing, and payroll processing .
Coordinate with external CPA for
tax filings, audits, and year‑end reviews .
Develop and refine
financial systems and internal controls
to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
Support ownership with
budgeting, forecasting, and ad‑hoc financial analysis
as needed.
Help build and refine our SOP's from an accounting & finance standpoint, reduce redundancies and improve overall efficiencies to be frictionless and streamlined.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Required:
Proven
track record of success in real‑estate accounting and financial management , ideally within development, construction, or investment environments.
Minimum
5 years of full‑charge bookkeeping or controller‑level experience .
Advanced proficiency in
QuickBooks Online (QBO)
and
Microsoft Excel .
Deep understanding of
GAAP, intercompany accounting, and job costing .
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to
multitask and meet deadlines
in a dynamic, fast‑paced setting.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
High level of professionalism and discretion with confidential financial data.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in
real‑estate investment, development, construction, or wholesaling .
Familiarity with
California tax and compliance laws
related to real‑estate.
