Overview
PB Applications Analyst II - Epic : IT Epic — Hoag Health System Responsibilities
Configure, test, implement and support the clinical, financial, or administrative Epic modules within their area of support. Oversee practices and processes to ensure data integrity, safety and availability; collaborate with stakeholders to optimize system configuration, function and access; recommend technology solutions based on business needs; be knowledgeable about policies, procedures. Manage problem tickets and service requests, data retrieval requests, system performance problems and optimization opportunities; participate in timely resolution. Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex application errors and other system issues; lead build and maintenance of system dictionaries, profiles, tables and configuration points; identify and implement enhancement requests. Manage small to medium optimization requests; coordinate with vendor as appropriate; test configurations, customizations and new releases prior to production. Assist end-users with design and testing of system reports; communicate changes to end users and staff; participate in system design, validation and remediation sessions; support data flow and interface files. Develop and maintain documentation outlining standard operating and support procedures. Perform duties with minimal supervision; other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Education and Experience Required High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Professional Billing application build analyst or equivalent in the assigned functional area. Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project). Experience participating as a project team member on a large-scale project. Preferred Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience in a related field. Three (3) or more years’ experience as a Professional Billing application build analyst in a health care environment, preferably in an integrated health system. PB Coding experience related to Epic. License Current CA driver’s license for local travel. Certifications Epic training and certification in Professional Billing application area is required; certification includes completing application certification projects and tests. Have at least one secondary certification and/or badge relevant to supported module. Certifications Preferred Epic Hospital Billing Certification; CCS.
